The Drew thomson Foundation’s New Single ”A Little More time”
Drew Thomson is well known primarily as the singer of Canadian punk band Single Mothers, and a brief stint as an accomplished gold miner in Canada. For years Single Mothers have toured extensively and done the dedicated grind of getting their brand of punk rock into peoples ears. Single Mothers over the years have found some success in underground music scenes across the world, and even touching some mainstream success.
But With The Drew Thomson Foundation in full effect and touring Single Mothers is off to the side for the time being. The band is an amalgamation of friends and some touring members of Single Mothers. In this new project Drew has found a more matured and down to earth voice and less of a heightened personal persona from Single Mothers. From the brash wild attitude from Single Mothers to the more restrained and controlled sound of The Drew Thomson Foundation, it is quite the contrast musically. The singles that have been put out so far online from TDTF have been ringing around in my head since I listened to them. The songs are catchy, they are positive sounding, but yet there is still some sense of poignancy that lingers in the feel and vibe of the songs. I can't pinpoint what it is about this new track but I want to replay it over and over until I'm sick of it, and I can't listen to it for 6 months.
